Moses, Moses
your story is told us
remember, remember
who and whose you are
behold! burning bush aflame
fiery Presence of The Name
unquenchable fire
sparks quick’ning desire
slaved one’s cry in Compassion’s ear
Justice’s tongue now draws near
transformed not consumed
a metamorphosis pruned
strange and mystical sight
notice now the white hot Light
lit by liberating Love
smok’d wood’s scent rises above
dusty understory, all holy ground
awakening wonder radiates around
remember, remember
who and whose you are
i am burning bush aflame
fire keeper of the The Name
afraid, called, beloved and claimed
go retrieve, gather what remains
common now holy
fragments re-storied
dust glow divinity
forgotten finds mercy
Shalom,
Jonathan
This really is a great poem. The lines and stanzas dance like the flickerings of a flame. I’m glad I read it today
Both peaceful and worshipful
